‘Barca debut a dream’

Aitor Cantalapiedra, who made his Barcelona debut in the Copa del Rey draw with Villanovense, described the experience as ‘a dream.’

The game finished goalless with the 19-year-old forward entering the match just after the hour mark, and he spoke to the Press following the final whistle.

“I was very happy to debut with the Barca first team. It was a dream for me, but now I keep working and fighting,” Aitor said, Sport reports.

“I was told about the strategy [before coming on], and to have enthusiasm and excitement and I went out to try and win the game.

“I wasn’t told anything until I was ready to come on. I didn’t know I was going to debut. I saw my father behind one of the goals and I was very happy to see him.

“It was a little bit difficult to play with the first team, but I’m happy.”
