Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu has complained about the FIFA investigation into the club’s signing of under-18s from abroad.
Bartomeu was speaking at an event to promote a new Barca sponsor and suggested that a change in the Presidency would help.
“It’s all so, so, so unfair, so exaggerated and so disproportionate. We can only wait for a change in leadership,” he lamented, Marca reports, regarding the transfer embargo and forced release of a number of starlets.
“We can rebuild bridges [with FIFA] when the time comes. It’s all unfair and incomprehensible.
“We should be protecting children and helping them play the sport they love.”
