Andoni Zubizarreta believes Barcelona can hold on to the Champions League but warns it won’t be easy.
Xavi Hernandez has said Barca can win the treble for the second successive season given the quality in the squad and Zubi agreed on the European front.
“Barca and Athletic Bilbao can win the Champions League and Europa League,” the former sporting director told Bein Sports, Marca reports.
“But it will be very difficult. The group stage is easy when you don’t have to play it.
“The Champions League is a very demanding competition. There are other competitions, travel, the knockout rounds.
“And there are some extraordinary teams in the Premier League, and Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.”
