Atletico Madrid new boy Stefan Savic has admitted that he is still in the process of adjusting to Spanish football.
The former Fiorentina defender is one of two summer arrivals, the other being Luciano Vietto, to have not yet made his competitive debut for Los Colchoneros, but he insists he will prove he has what it takes to be a success at the Vicente Calderon.
“I still need time to adapt to my new team and League, but I think [I'll have adapted] soon,” he was quoted as saying by AS after Serbia's 2-0 victory over Lichtenstein in Euro 2016 qualifying on Saturday.
“All great teams have a lot of competition and I'm up for the challenge. I think I can play an important role here and we'll all work together for the good of Atletico.
“I'm Stefan Savic and here to defend the colours of Atletico, one of the biggest clubs in Europe.”
