Andreolli: Sevilla my last chance

Marco Andreolli has admitted that Sevilla are his “last chance” at the top level but insists he has what it takes to be a success.

The defender joins the Europa League winners on a season-long loan from Inter with much to prove, having struggling to establish himself at Inter and Roma, although he earned 24 caps for Italy Under-21s and has suffered from injury problems in the past.

“This is my last chance [to relaunch my career] after not playing much for Roma and Inter,” he began at his official unveiling on Thursday.

“I have ambition and confidence in my ability to meet the high expectations of this great club and improve further.

“I'm very attentive to the defensive side of the game, and it's something which has always distinguished me because I've been good at man-marking throughout my career.

“I didn't play in August, but I'm fine physically and hopefully I can reach 100 percent within the next two weeks.”

Andreolli, 29, has been signed as centre-back cover following news of Daniel Carrico's two-month absence.
