Alex Song has signed a second loan deal with West Ham from Barcelona, the Premier League club’s co-owner announcing the news on Twitter.
“It has just been confirmed. Alex Song has signed a season-long loan deal to join West Ham. Welcome back Alex,” David Gold tweeted early Tuesday morning, the Guardian reports.
The transfer window for English clubs remains open until 6pm due to Monday having been a Bank Holiday, whereas most of the rest of Europe had until midnight the day before.
Song signed for Barca from Arsenal in August 2012 and has made 65 appearances for the Catalans, and was sent to Upton Park for the 2014-15 campaign, when he played 31 times.
Barcelona have also confirmed the transfer via their official website.
