Levante have lost Nabil El Zhar to Primera rivals Las Palmas after rescinding his contract at Ciutat de Valencia.

AS reports El Zhar quit the club in search of more regular playing time and has signed a two-year deal with the newly-promoted islanders.

El Zhar moved to Levante from Liverpool in the summer of 2011 and made 114 appearances, scoring 10 goals.

The 29-year-old started his career at Saint-Etienne before a switch to Merseyside, and also spent time at POAK before moving to La Liga.
