Heiko Westermann and Juan Manuel Vargas will reportedly sign for Real Betis on free transfers and both have connections to the club already.
Westermann has left Hamburg, where he played with Rafael Van Der Vaart, who signed for the newly-promoted Verdiblancos earlier in the summer.
The centre-back is expected in Seville around Thursday lunchtime, Estadio Deportivo reports, and he will undergo a medical later in the day or early on Friday.
Vargas, meanwhile, is a free agent after leaving Fiorentina, the club at which Betis sporting director Eduardo Macia previously worked in the same role.
The left-sided player, a full-back or midfielder, should be signed within a few days.
