Barcelona right-back Douglas is facing up to eight weeks out of action after leaving the friendly against Chelsea after barely a quarter of an hour.
Douglas was replaced by Sergi Roberto as Luis Enrique explored his defensive options and Marca reports the Brazilian is looking at two months on the sidelines.
A thigh injury is believed to be the cause and will bring further disruption to Douglas’ career after his first season at Camp Nou was almost entirely a washout as he struggled to adapt following a move from Sao Paulo.
Douglas had previously played the full 90 minutes of Barca’s game against LA Galaxy.
