Atletico Madrid have completed the signing of highly rated forward Luciano Vietto from Villarreal.
The Argentine has put pen to paper on a six-year contract at Vicente Calderon and will link up with his new teammates today.
Though the full terms of the deal between the clubs have not been made clear, the Rojiblancos are thought to have paid their La Liga rivals in the region of €20m.
“I’ve spoken to Diego Simeone and everything is fine,” 21-year-old Vietto told reporters upon his arrival in Madrid.
“I’m very happy to have signed for a club as big as Atletico Madrid and now I want to get to work with the group.”
Vietto scored 20 goals in all competitions last season, having only moved to Europe last summer.
