Watford Coach Quique Sanchez Flores has spoken of his plans for the Premier League new boys and his excitement at being in English football.
Former Getafe boss Flores was hired by Watford after Slavisa Jokanovic took the Hornets out of the Championship and Flores has revealed he was impressed by the history of the club.
“In my mind I have an idea of the new team, of Watford. I will work very hard to achieve something special,” he said, the BBC reports.
“The idea is to create a team the fans can connect with. I know Watford have big stories.
“I know about people like [former chairman, owner and Watford supporter] Elton John and what he did years ago.
“Watford have had important players like John Barnes playing at this club as well.
“So it is special to come here and to go into the Premier League, I know that. I feel a passion for my work and I want that to transmit to the fans and players.”
