Madrid to loan out Silva?

Real Madrid will reportedly allow Lucas Silva to spend next season out on loan as Casemiro’s return has increased their number of non-EU players to four.

AS claims the 22-year-old will be sacrificed by Los Blancos, with no more than three non-EU players allowed in a Spanish squad, although only a temporary move would be sanctioned.

Nonetheless, Rafa Benitez still wants to assess Silva during pre-season, while the club are working on obtaining a passport for one of the Brazilian, his countrymen Danilo and Casemiro and James Rodriguez.

In addition, the midfielder is not likely to leave Madrid until towards the end of the transfer window as the other three will represent their respective countries at Copa America this summer.

Silva arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu in January from Cruzeiro for a reported €14m but started only three matches against Schalke, Elche and Villarreal and did not feature at all after April 29.
