Getafe boss Quique Sanchez Flores admitted he was disappointed in his side’s display following the 1-0 loss at Almeria.
A solitary goal from Edgar Mendez saw the Andalusians pick up a vital three points against their fellow strugglers, although Flores said he was happy at the way Getafe competed.
“We conceded an unexpected goal but we’ve got to make sure these things don’t happen as it took us out of the game,” he told reporters post-match.
“Then, with a player less, we got ourselves back into it and were much better towards the end, although we couldn’t manage to get a draw, which would have been fairer.
“We competed well and threw a lot at them and I’m happy with my group of players, but I must congratulate Almeria,” he added.
