Ivan Rakitic hailed Barcelona’s unity after their 4-0 victory over Deportivo La Coruna on Sunday.
La Blaugrana responded to a tumultuous period in their recent history by making it three wins on the bounce against the Galicians, and the Croat – who bagged two assists for himself at Riazor – claimed his side were all pulling in the same direction.
“In recent weeks, we’ve improved and must continue playing well,” he said after the game.
“It’s important that the team functions. If we continue like this, we’ll do great things.
“Overall, our teamwork is always the same. It shows that we’ve all done a great job. The idea is always the same.
“No [I haven’t felt any doubts]. The team have shown themselves to be very united. We’re a big, strong family and all fight for the same cause.
“Now come the difficult and important games, and we must be prepared for them.
“We have 23 or 24 players in our squad. We all fight, and it’s normal that everyone wants to play. We’re all buying into the Coach’s philosophy.
“Everyone needs to make their mark. Luis [Suarez] will score many goals for us, his work is important for the team. Leo [Messi] is unique.”
