Paco Jemez remarked that all points were “golden points” after seeing his Rayo Vallecano side take all three at Almeria.
A late goal from Gael Kakuta ensured the Madrid side emerged 1-0 victors against the Andalusians, who have now gone six months without winning at home since Real Betis were beaten on May 4.
“The first half was horrible in every aspect, defensively and offensively, but all points are golden points” declared Jemez at a post-match Press conference.
“We were not up to our usual standard and the best we could have hoped for was to go in level at the break.
“With the way we played in the first half we’d usually have been dead and buried in La Primera, but the second half was completely different.
“We took control and created chances, the goal and another very clear one, and that’s what I will take away from this game,” he added.
