Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta believes the team are in good shape ahead of the first Clasico of the season.
La Blaugrana warmed up for the game against Real Madrid with a 3-1 win over Ajax in the Champions League and Zubi told reporters following the final whistle that the team are in good form.
“We arrive at the Clasico looking good,” he said, AS reports.
“We are fulfilling our tasks, our matches. We’re in a good place in the League and the Champions League.
“We played against one of the biggest clubs in Europe but we are one of the biggest in Europe as well.”
Luis Suarez returns from suspension for the game at Santiago Bernabeu and Zubi was asked about the Uruguay international’s chances of playing.
“That’s the responsibility of the Coach. He will make the call,” he replied.
“He’ll pick who he thinks is best out of those available. And more than Suarez, I think about the team. We understand football as a team game.
“We’re enjoying Neymar and other players. We have to enjoy today.
“The young players give us quality. Sandro Ramirez did very well on the counter-attack.”
