Sevilla defender Nico Pareja is waiting for information on the injury he suffered in Los Rojiblancos win over Deportivo La Coruna.
Pareja was withdrawn before full-time of the 4-1 victory at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and according to the club’s official website, it is his foot that is causing problems.
“We don’t know exactly what happened. In the first half I twisted my foot and played on but there was discomfort in the fifth metatarsal,” he said.
“Luckily I played on but I had to come off before the end of the game.”
Pareja was nevertheless delighted with the result and believes it shows Sevilla are doing the right things, as well as commending centre-back partner Dani Carrico.
“We’re on the right line. The work of the group is good and it confirms the line we’re on is right. Our work was rewarded,” he continued.
“Last year I played with Carrico in a lot of games and we understand each other very well. Daniel is a great player.
“It’s a pleasure to play alongside him. Everyone’s working hard and there are other defenders who can come in and contribute something.”
