Francisco wants home win

Francisco was happy to see Almeria come from behind to draw with Elche but wants a first home win of the season.

Elche were leading 1-0 and 2-1 before Jonathas was dismissed, with Tomer Hemed scoring a late equaliser.

“When you’re a goal down you have to change everything,” Francisco said after the match, AS reports.

“We’ve come back and after 25 minutes had more depth and created chances before the penalty [scored by Verza for the game’s first equaliser].

“In the end we saw an ambitious Almeria team, while it’s true Elche only had 10 men. But we finished the game in their area looking for the win to devote to our fans.

“It just leaves a bit of a bad taste because we still haven’t won at home. But this is a smart crowd and they know they have to be optimistic for this team.”
