Almeria Coach Francisco wants his players to get the plaudits for the victory over Deportivo La Coruna.
Edgar Mendez scored a 93rd minute winner to give Los Rojiblancos three points at Riazor, with Francisco telling reporters he’s not bothered if the goal comes in the last minute.
“The congratulations go to the players, not me,” he said, AS reports.
“We’ve won the prize we were looking for. We grew in the second half so we could have options at the end.
“There’s 90 minutes of play and we are satisfied.”
Francisco added that he didn’t expect Deportivo to struggle as the season goes on, based on what he saw on Sunday.
“Deportivo have a high quality and are very good in attack,” he admitted.
“It’s logical that they’ll get out of the bottom places.”
