Ernesto Valverde has admitted he is worried by Athletic Bilbao’s form after a 1-0 defeat at home to Granada.
Jhon Cordoba scored the only goal of the game and when speaking to reporters following the final whistle, Valverde was critical of his team and conceded he may have gotten his team selection wrong.
“We haven’t been good because we played at a pace we can’t play at when at San Mames,” Marca quotes the Coach as saying.
“We didn’t press well and there’s no excuse.
“When you make changes and you lose you always reconsider what you’ve done. I’ve made the choices and we lost because we weren’t good. We lacked pace.
“Of course I worry about having three points from 12 and we have to add to that, like last year, to put ourselves in a good position and then everything will seem easier.
“We have to focus on the League.”
