Barcelona new boy Douglas is willing to put in the work to win a place under Luis Enrique after signing from Sao Paulo.
Douglas was Barca’s final signing of the transfer window and has said in an interview that he will do what it takes to get to grips with European football.
“It’s very different in Barcelona and now it’s work, work, work hard to be available to the Coach to try and fit in to the team and do a good job,” AS reports the right-back as saying.
“What I will do now is work hard to be ready when the Coach needs me and quickly adapt to the new system.
“It’s hard to know if you’re prepared because I come from Brazil and now I have to adapt to Barca and assimilate into the team dynamic.
“European football is faster but I think I’ll be ready as quickly as possible.”
