Alvaro Vazquez netted in the first half to give the Azulones all three points, but the Rojiblancos boss insisted his men were the better side on the night.
“This defeat hurts,” he told reporters. “We were the ambitious team and created enough opportunities to win.
“I think you could see over the 90 minutes that at least a draw would have been fair tonight.
“During the first 15 minutes we lacked aggression, but then we came out of our shells and went looking for a goal.
“We came here to win, so we’re disappointed that didn’t happen.”
