Berizzo delighted with Celta post

Eduardo Berizzo has been unveiled as the new Celta Vigo boss and has admitted that he wants to connect the team to the city.

The 44-year-old has been handed the reins at Balaidos following Luis Enrqiue’s move to Barcelona.

And the former Celestes defender has conceded he can’t wait to start work.

“I’m very happy to be here,” he told reporters. “I want to help and lead a club that has given me a lot. I owe them so much.

“I like attacking football and want to incorporate as many young players as possible.

“One of the keys for me is to connect the people of Vigo with the team. I want them to be excited when they come here.”
