Joaquin Caparros thought ‘the suffering was worth it’ as his Levante side won the Valencia derby on Saturday night.
Goals from Angel Rodriguez and Andreas Ivanschitz gave the Granotes a 2-0 win over their city rivals Valencia yesterday.
And the Coach has admitted that his men were made to work for the three points.
“We have suffered but it was definitely worth it,” he told a Press conference.
“We’ve been good at home, but to beat great teams like Atletico Madrid and Valencia is what it’s all about.
“We’ve given some joy to the fans and that’s what we wanted to do.
“Behind all this is a lot of work, and the players have to take credit for that. But there is still one more game to go, and we have to be focused on that.”
