Fran Escriba has admitted that his Elche side were slightly disappointed with their 1-1 draw against Levante on Friday.
Richmond Boakye had given the Franjiverdes a second half lead, but a late goal from Angel Rodriguez ensured a share of the points.
“The lads are slightly disappointed with the point,” he told a Press conference.
“We played one of our best matches this season, and were convinced we could win it.
“However, it just wasn’t to be. They capitalised on a loose ball and made us pay.”
Escriba then sent a message of condolence to Tito Vilanova’s family following his passing on Friday.
“I want to join everyone in sending a message of love and support to Tito Vilanova’s family at this time.”
