Elche Coach Fran Escriba believes his side will be as intense as Atletico Madrid when they meet tonight.
Escriba told a pre-match Press conference that Elche will match Atletico’s mindset but admitted the League leaders have an advantage in ability.
“They play with great intensity but we won’t throw the game,” Marca reports Escriba as saying.
“We’re going there with the idea of being together and disciplined in the field.
“We also have a lot of intensity, but they have more quality.
“Let’s see how comfortable they feel on the pitch.”
There is a possibility Diego Costa will miss the game after cutting his knee in the 2-0 win over Getafe.
Escriba confirmed that his plan for the match would change if Costa is absent, but expects the Spain international to feature.
“We have a lot of affection for Atletico and we wish them well this season, after this game,” Escriba added.
