Angel Di Maria has insisted his focus is on getting the best result for Real Madrid, not waiting for Barcelona to slip up.
Marca reports that after the match, the Argentine said Los Blancos were concentrating on their results and performances.
“We think about ourselves. Now we’re back and we continue to believe in ourselves,” Di Maria revealed.
“These games are finals and we have to treat them as such.
“I’m happy. We didn’t do well against Borussia Dortmund and wanted to reverse the situation.
“The Dortmund game was unusual for us. We didn’t want to play like that and today we have made the people happy and shown that we want to continue down this path.”
Di Maria added that Barca’s defeat to Granada would have no bearing on the Copa del Rey final between the teams on Wednesday.
“They are different games. They’ll go out to play in the best way and we’ll have to keep doing our work,” he went on.
“We know we come into the game in a good way. We have to continue like that.”
