Ernesto Valverde was disappointed with Athletic Bilbao’s performance in the 1-0 win over Getafe.
While the Coach was pleased to have taken the points he told his post-match Press conference that the game was far from one of the team’s best.
“We should have scored a second goal so we didn’t have to struggle at the end,” said Valverde, having opened the Press conference by paying tribute to Inaki Azkuna, the former mayor of Bilbao who passed away last week.
“It was a good game after our recent home form, against an opponent who is down the bottom, but the game had its problems.
“It was one of those games were you just had to suffer and get through it.”
