Almeria Coach Francisco has insisted his side will not throw in the towel in their relegation fight despite losing to Rayo Vallecano.
Rayo ran out 3-1 winners in Vallecas to leave Almeria second bottom of the table, two points short of safety.
Francisco told his post-match Press conference that despite his side’s perilous position, Almeria would fight until the end.
“We looked at this game as a final and we’ll have to pick ourselves back up,” Francisco said.
“Rayo and Almeria are very similar teams but today we’ve seen how hard it can be.
“We’ve got 10 games left, 30 points to play for, and it hasn’t entered my head once that we’re sunk.
“Next week we could be out of the relegation zone.”
