Ernesto Valverde was pleased with a point from the game against Valencia, admitting Athletic Bilbao could have been beaten.
Valencia went in front through a Paco Alcacer goal that appeared to be offside and later levelled through Aritz Aduriz’s controversially awarded penalty.
Valverde declined to comment much on the officiating, saying instead that he would need to see television replays of the incidents.
“I didn’t see things clearly. When you see it on TV you might have an opinion but now I can’t say,” Valverde told his post-match Press conference.
“Live you see some things and then when you see it on TV you change.
“In the first half we took most of the game and at half time I thought we could win, but given the reaction from Valencia after the break we’re happy with the draw because I thought we might lose.”
