Javier Aguirre has urged his Espanyol side to defeat Granada this evening and move away from the relegation zone.
The Periquitos host El Grana on Friday looking for the three points that could take them up to eighth and nine points clear of the drop.
“The Granada game is very important for us,” he told a Press conference. “It’s vital that we win.
“We’re playing against a direct rival. We have to win to move away from the relegation zone.
“Granada are an offensive team, who play a 4-3-3 with great players in the middle and up front.
“I think the team who wins will be the ones who make the least mistakes, it’s as simple as that.”
The Mexican then commented on his future with the club.
“I have a contract until June 30, so it’s too soon to talk about that. I’ll speak with the sporting director and the President soon.
“My goal, like last year, is to end the season in the Primera.”
