Ernesto Valverde is looking forward to seeing his Athletic Bilbao side take on Real Madrid at San Mames on Sunday.
Athletic haven’t lost in the League at home this season but Madrid have started 2014 with four straight League wins and clean sheets.
Valverde told his pre-match Press conference that despite Madrid’s excellent run, the form of his team gives him confidence.
“There is a lot of expectation when we play at San Mames and we’ve responded well to the expectation that was created by the team.
“Madrid have had a series of immaculate wins and aren’t allowing many goals against them.
“Madrid try to impose on you and it’s not strange to see them competing with Barcelona and Atletico.
“They are in good form but then so are we.”
