Ibai Gomez believes that Athletic Bilbao are ‘capable of anything’ as they prepare to face Real Madrid.
Los Leones have already beaten Barcelona at San Mames this season, and the attacker insists that his side can beat Carlo Ancelotti’s men on Sunday evening.
“A lot of big teams have come to San Mamés and we've shown that we are capable of anything,” he told Marca.
“We know that Real Madrid is going from strength to strength and is playing at a very high level, but we are going to go for it.
“We're not going to settle for a draw, because we've already demonstrated that we can beat anyone on our patch.
“I said this two years ago, when we lost the two finals [in the Copa del Rey and Europa League], and I'll say it again – I have every confidence in this team.
“We are a very young team on average and soon we are going to give the fans something to shout about, which they deserve.”
