Martino: We should have scored more

Tata Martino thought his Barcelona side could have scored more goals, despite beating Malaga 3-0.

Gerard Pique, Pedro and Alexis Sanchez gave the Blaugrana all three points at Camp Nou, but the Coach was insistent that his team should have won by more.

“We passed the ball well,” he told a Press conference. “And we created a lot of chances but we only scored three goals, we could have scored more.

“The players understand that they have to talk on the field, and they did a good job after a difficult week. They showed that they are professionals.”

The Argentine tactician then commented on Lionel Messi’s performance, after the goalscorer came through the 90 minutes unscathed.

“Messi can do whatever he wants because he’s capable of doing anything.

“He’s very precise with his passes and he attracts the attention of our rivals.”

The boss concluded by commented on the 56,000 attendance at Camp Nou.

“We play a lot of matches late at night. When kick off times are a bit more normal the people will be with us.”
