Francisco was proud of his side’s ‘intelligence’ as Almeria overcame Getafe 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The promoted side beat the Azulones thanks to a second half strike from Jonathan Zongo, and the Coach was delighted with his team’s reading of the game.
“The opposition started better than us,” he told a Press conference. “They played with more initiative – they were superior.
“But in the second half we did a very good job defensively, and showed real game intelligence.
“We got the job done. We’re realistic, and know that we can’t compete technically with Getafe. We showed great commitment though, and grew into the game.”
