Ernesto Valverde was delighted with his Athletic Bilbao side as they ran out 6-1 winners against Almeria.
Los Leones scored three goals in each half as they easily overcame the promoted club, and the Coach has eager to praise his men.
“We were extraordinary,” he told a Press conference. “We played the right way and are growing into something very good.
“This is the sort of performance I have been looking for.
“We fought and ran right until the last minute. Obviously, some games are more successful than others, but I think we’ve been capable of producing this sort of game for a while.”
