Kike Sola has urged Athletic Bilbao to go ‘game-by-game’ as they fight for a place in the Champions League.
Los Leones have enjoyed a superb start to the season and go into 2014 in fourth place in the table.
The striker though, has insisted that his men have to take each match as it comes if they are to play in Europe’s premier club competition next term.
“We have to pick up the pace,” he told reporters. “Everyone at the club is demanding of that.
“But we feel strong, we feel like we can do well.
“We know there’s a lot of games to go, but we can only think about the next one.
“We have to go game-by-game if we want to achieve our goals.
“It can, and I think it will be, a good year for us.
“The supporters have been spectacular – not only on the pitch but also on the street. Their enthusiasm is greatly appreciated.”
