Pizzi to start Valencia training

Juan Antonio Pizzi will today begin work as Valencia Coach, as he holds training with the squad for the first time.

A majority of Los Che’s squad are expected to report back for training today after the Christmas break, to begin work under their new Coach, who officially signed with the club just yesterday.

Only the South American-based quartet of Jonas, Andres Guardado, Dorlan Pabon and Ever Banega are expected to be absent, as they have been granted leave until Monday to take into account their extra travelling.

Pizzi is believed set to be officially presented to the media on Monday, after which young defensive recruit Ruben Vezo will then be unveiled.

Vezo is expected to be at Paterna alongside his teammates today to meet Pizzi, but, not officially a Valencia player until January 1, is believed unlikely to take part in training just yet.
