Javier Aguirre admitted he was satisfied with his Espanyol side as they beat Real Valladolid 4-2 on Sunday.
The Periquitos are now on 22 points going into the Christmas break, and the Mexican Coach has insisted that things are looking up going into 2014.
“There are plenty of reasons to be satisfied,” he told a Press conference
“We conceded two goals late on which was a bit annoying, but overall we have been good.
“The two goals were avoidable, but that’s not to detract from the opposition.
“Now we have to come out with a great urgency in January.
“The first half of the season has gone well after a little slip up. But hopefully we’re back to where we want to be.”
