Fran Escriba claimed he was ‘optimistic’ despite Elche losing 1-0 to Malaga on Friday evening.
Ignacio Camacho netted a sixth minute winner last night, that left the promoted team in 14th place going into Christmas.
“I’m not worried about the League ranking,” he told a Press conference. “I’m optimistic we’ll overcome the problems.
“After the break we have to try and improve in everything we’re doing – and there’s certainly room to do that!
“I think the game should have finished 0-0 because nothing really happened in front of goal.”
