The Spanish Football League have today confirmed scheduling for fixtures across Weeks 19 and 20 in La Liga.
Week 19 will see Atletico Madrid host Barcelona in a meeting between the League’s current top two sides and their game has been handed an 8pm local time kick-off on Saturday, January 11.
Real Madrid travel out to Espanyol the day after for a 7pm local time meeting, whilst Villarreal host Real Sociedad in that round’s closing fixture set for the Monday night.
Week 20, meanwhile, is the start of the second round of fixtures in La Liga, and begins with Valencia’s trip out to Malaga for a Friday night match, before continuing on Saturday afternoon with Real Betis hosting Real Madrid.
Levante, who were defeated 7-0 on the opening day of the season at the Camp Nou, will look for some measure of revenge against Barcelona on the Sunday evening in Week 20, whilst the round will conclude with another Monday night match involving Athletic Bilbao, this time at home to Real Valladolid.
Notably, Villarreal and Real Sociedad’s League meeting comes in-between the two legs of their Copa del Rey Last 16 clash.
