Aguirre aiming for 24 points

Javier Aguirre wants Espanyol to end 2013 ‘with half a job done’ as they prepare to face Almeria at Juegos Mediterraneos.

The Periquitos travel to the promoted side on Sunday looking for the three points that would take them to 21 for the season.

“We want to end the year with half a job done,” he told a Press conference. “This is an important match for us.

“It would be great if we could win and get try to get to 21 points. We want to go into the winter break with 24 – that’s the goal.

“We have to try and be better with the ball and not so impatient in possession.

“At the moment we’re in no man’s land and we want to try and get out of it.”
