Sofiane Feghouli has warned Valencia that a repeat of yesterday’s performance against Kuban will not be good enough to face Atletico Madrid with.
Los Che travel out to the Vicente Calderon on Sunday evening for Week 16’s closing fixture, facing the joint League leaders coming off the back of a 1-1 disappointment in the Europa League yesterday evening.
For Valencia’s Algerian international midfielder, an improvement must be made before travelling out to Los Colchoneros.
“We have seen how Atletico play. They play differently to Real Madrid or Barcelona,” mused Feghouli, who along with his teammates sat through an hour-long video and talk session with coaching staff on Atletico today.
“They are very good tactically and above all that they are playing at home. It will not be an easy game.
“In truth, if we play like we did against Kuban, then we will not be able to win at Atletico.
“However, we want to fight for this badge together and show that we are competitive and strong.”
