Athletic Bilbao forward Gaizka Toquero has calmed suggestions that Barcelona are ‘in crisis’ after losing against Ajax.
The Blaugrana lost their first game of the season on Wednesday in the Champions League, but the striker, who hopes to play against the Catalans on Sunday, has insisted that is not the case.
“If you have only lost one game in all competitions, then it’s clear that you’re doing well,” he told AS.
“I wouldn’t mind being in such a crisis!
“Obviously it’s good that Messi and Valdes aren’t playing, but there are still great players in this Barca team.
“We have to play with intensity and tighten up at the back.”
