Javier Aguirre admitted his Espanyol side were ‘hurt’ after they lost 2-1 to Real Sociedad on Saturday evening.
Cristian Stuani scored an 88th minute own goal to give La Real all three points at Cornelia-El Prat, and the Periquitos Coach has conceded that it was a tough defeat to take.
“The boys are hurting,” he told a Press conference. “We thought we had weathered the storm, but an unfortunate moment punished us.
“A home defeat is always bad, but we will not say that anything is over. We have fought, but now we have to start playing better, technically.
“There a lot of games left to achieve our goals.”
