‘We can’t forget the good times’

Tata Martino has called for calm despite Barcelona losing their first game of the season against Ajax in midweek.

The Blaugrana went down 2-1 on Tuesday at the Amsterdam Arena, but ahead of their game against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday, the Coach has insisted that sometimes the team are too ‘self-critical’.

We've analyzed the CL game, both on a football level as regarding intensity,” he told a Press conference.

“We have to show a different face tomorrow.

“The group is perhaps even too self-criticial. I'd sign winning 20 and lose one.

“We should make sure Ajax game isn't the start of anything.

“Lecture during half-time on Tue? You should ask who wrote that. I didn't say or do anything special, we always talk at half-time.

“We have talked about the game against Ajax, and it did worry us.

“We can't forget that match, but at the same time we can't forget the good things from before.

“Now we have to focus on doing well in the last games this year before the break, trying to win our Champions League group and continue as Liga leaders.”
