Caparros sympathises with Getafe

Levante boss Joaquin Caparros has sympathised with Getafe following their 7-0 thrashing at the hands of Atletico Madrid last week.

Caparros’ team suffered a similar reverse in the opening game of the season against Barcelona at the Camp Nou and, before the teams clash at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez this weekend, the 58-year-old says he knows what it feels like to be on the receiving end.

“We know what it’s like to have seven goals put past you. When that happens you want to play again as soon as possible so you can try and put things right,” he told a Press conference.

The experienced 58-year-old is also aware that his own team has just suffered three consecutive defeats.

“The two sides are fairly even so we want to go there and give a good account of ourselves, with idea of taking all three points.

“With each passing week a lot of teams are coming together in the table, so every game seems as if it’s an emergency.

“But it’s a long season and these kind of situations crop up, although I’ve got great confidence in my team,” he added.
