Almeria goalkeeper Esteban was critical of some Real Madrid employees after playing in his team’s 5-0 defeat to Los Blancos on Saturday.
The veteran shot-stopper, 38, who has been with the Andalusian outfit since 2008, met his children after the game at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterraneos and attempted to get their photographs taken with the Madrid players.
However, he was prevented from doing so by members of the visitors’ security staff, an issue he felt reflected badly on the Spanish giants.
“It seems incredible that at a club such as this lets its employees take the players away.
“That’s why there are trends and why there are now fewer children at Real Madrid,” he told reporters.
