Javier Aguirre admitted his Espanyol side were ‘on a tightrope’ after 3-1 loss to Sevilla on Sunday.
The Periquitos lost at home to the Andalusian team, slipping down to 12th in the League table.
“We are on a tightrope,” he told a Press conference. “We are falling towards the bottom end of the table. We have to tighten up.
“The numbers do not lie. If you don’t accept criticism, then you’re in the wrong profession.
“I think we’re probably in a crisis situation. But we have to grit our teeth.
“Now we start from scratch. We must not lose our essence though – our DNA.”
