Diego Costa has claimed that Atletico Madrid deserved to reach the Last 16 after their win over Austria Vienna.
“We knew it was very important to win today because of the [1-1] result between Zenit and Porto,” he told uefa after the Rojiblancos won 4-0 on Tuesday.
“The team was great today and we deserved to reach the round of 16."
